Warren Parry Aemmer
Warren Parry Aemmer, 89 of Palmyra Twp. went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2015 at his residence. Warren was born August 21, 1925, in Akron, Ohio to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Minder) Aemmer.
Warren met the love of his life on a blind date in 1944 and was married to Marjorie (Handy) Aemmer for almost 68 years. Warren retired in 1987 after 23 years as a maintenance electrician at Peerless Electric in Warren. He was also a farmer. Warren was a veteran of the US Navy entering active duty in 1943 and served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Griffin during WWII.
Warren was a 66 year member of the Palmyra United Methodist Church, past Master of Charity Lodge 530, Past Patron Palmy Chapter Eastern Star, current President of the Akron Swiss Society, Deerfield American Legion, past High Priest Tyrian York Chapter 91 in Ravenna, York Rite in Ravenna, 32 degree Scottish Rite in Canton, and Senior Lads and Lassies of Deerfield. Warren was an avid fisherman.
He will be greatly missed by his four sons Charles (Leslie) Aemmer of Palmyra, Robert (Patti) Aemmer of Palmyra, Peter (Dane) Aemmer of Palmyra and David (Karen) Aemmer of Louisville; and 13 very special grandchildren Sarah, Jessie, Rachael, Danni, Neil, Bethany, Faye, Samantha, Joel, Heather, Jennifer, Benjamin, and Ashley and 26 great grandchildren. Warren was preceded in death by his brother Walter and his twin brother Wallace.
Masonic services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 5:30 pm at James Funeral Home where calling hours will follow from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Palmyra United Methodist Church. Warren will be laid to rest at Palmyra West Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Palmyra Back Door Pantry at the Palmyra United Methodist Church 3968 St. Rt. 225, Diamond, OH 44412.
